• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

A weekend in Lake County

Spent the weekend with Dan and Ann of MotoXotica at Indian Valley Res. in Lake County or maybe it is in Yolo County, either way it was fun. Met a lot of nice people and rode an area I've never been to and had a fantastic time. Thank you Dan and Ann for the invite my son and I had a great time! Here are a few photos. Don't remember everyone's name but I think I got just about everyone in at least one photo.
Nice setting

Thank you Dan and Ann!

Great pics CKPC, it was a fun day. It was cool meeting you and
of course the legendary founder of this great site, Dean (better known as "Coffee".) A very cool guy to talk to and let face it, the
Godfather for providing on-line Husky knowlege and connecting
the Husky community worldwide.
My bike had the distinction of being the only blue and yellow Husky there and I believe it was the only 610.
Thanks for the pics. I had my camera but forgot about it the entire day until I was leaving. Took a couple after the fact.

Looks like a good group gathered and having fun in a great place. Looks like you could maybe go fishing there as well.

The res. was pretty low but I would think there is still plenty of fish there. Another NorCal gathering is in order!! jerbear610 it was nice meeting you and yes you were the only 610. I had never been to that area to ride and enjoyed it, always cool exploring somewhere new.

Legendary! Ha! I was almost comatose from the riding and the heat!

That was the closest my bike ever came to getting hot. Dan took that as a complement! :D

Simply wonderful.:applause: But I see that the same curse of the wildfires has hit up there as it has down here.

What lake is that?

It appeared that the fire was put out promptly which was a very good thing. I'm not sure the lake has a name, and it is possible the exact location should not be disclosed... I'm not quite clear on that issue though.
