• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

    Thanks for your patience and support!

a big thanks to the parts dept.

Brian in bills parts dept. went the extra mile and found a rear lower shock mount bearing that would work for my 2011 txc 511 and saved my riding trip this coming weekend. the actual bearing from husky is on back order for the past couple months with no end in sight. its slightly different but the dimensions are exactly the same. and works like a charm.
I even called a couple specialty bearing shops around the country and they couldn't get the koyo number from my old bearing and that's where their effort ended. if anyone needs a bearing and seals for this failure prone bearing he can hook you up.

Bryon just mailed me my 3rd intake boot, I should get it by Friday, BMP rocks on parts!

Another urban dual sport ride, another broken part, I've been thru 2 mirrors now, I think the vibration of the motor weakens the plastic hinge and then a brush up against a tree branch breaks it off. Bryon will send me 2 more mirrors and a water temp sensor, best parts supply in the country!

@OldHuskyRider

After so many mirrors broken I finally picked up the Double Take type. Now, if they only had a water pump impeller in the USA I would be a happy man. Bike is down until Husqvarna decides to find/release/cast new ones.

Never have needed the boot..

I may have a good used one to get you on the road Ill look.

Thought I'd add to this thread. Bills is just awesome. As a result of a surprise attack by a looping KTM300, I had a couple of pieces of Italian plastic to replace on my 449. I was thinking it would take quite a while to find them but you guys came through, ordered the parts and refused to charge me until the piece was in Bryon's hands.

Thank you for supporting the Italian stallions with your awesome parts sourcing!
