  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Having a batch of these made. Pretty excited to get the oem style plate back on my bike. I'll have blue and black once they are done. The first prototype is attached.

Also working on a batch of 92-13 husky 250 300 kick knuckles and levers. 2 months out on those.

wow I had 5 NOS of those a few years ago, couldn't sell them,, odd
but still have 1, on my 360

Whose making them out of curiosity? Just wondering if these are injection molded like what UFO does. I have 2 blue and 2 black. A white would be sweet!

Also curious about options for all white plastics for my 02' CR.

Yes, they are injection molded. Copied from a new oem plate. Might get a few white and yellow made as well.

Prototypes came in. A few small tweaks and we'll be ready for production. Should be in stock mid February.

They are next on the list once the 250 lever project is done.
A place in the UK said they could make them in Titanium, but their CNC wouldn’t go less than 100 units. What sort of numbers are you looking at?
Also was curious if it was Acerbis who originally made the plastic for Husky after Cagiva was sold or? Either way can’t wait for the those number plates. Looks awesome. Want to have some modified with the vent to looks like a works bike if the era. Being able to run some CNC triples clamps that will accept 48 mm forks is my next thing. The main hang up for me is figuring out what materials and source. Not so much for the triples but for things like fork lugs case savers etc I have a ton of ideas and the aftermarket for these bikes isn’t what it was 10 years ago.

Sample is spot on. Should see them mid February.

I'll have 75 complete kickers and 25 extra alloy top levers since the oem knuckles are still available. Always can get more made.

Not sure who the original OEM front plate maker was, but they were never available from any aftermarket only through Husky. I find it odd that UFO made everything except the front plate.
