  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Is there anyone who has used footpegs, (fastway, ims, ect..) from some other brand of bike like a Honda CR500 or something like that to replace thier stock pegs ??? I have a 93' WXC 360 and hope to get a better footpeg. Don't really like the rockstompa, pegz type.

I think the 93 Footpegs are similar to these:

Been looking for the same thing for my 94 WXC250. As they mount external pivot instead of the standard internal to the bracket I can't find anything. The ones on my 86 WR400 were so bent and saggy they were useless / dangerous so I just welded up a U shaped flatbar on it and ground some teeth in it. Crude but works fantastic...

- note the old peg inside my "new" peg

- did the brake lever too as it was hard to reach, now it is right there

Fastway makes pegs for them, I have a set on my '99 WR250.

Nope. It mounts with two external flanges not a tube / barrel in the middle. The old footpegs go outside the mount, everything newer goes inside.

Bringing this thread back from the dead.

So, '92-'94 had the old style pegs, with the single point on the frame as in Kelly's picture.

Anyone ever find a suitable swap for them? If not I'm going the same route and welding my own widener on.

If I recall right, Honda XRs had a very similar footpeg, but I have no idea about angles or and of the sizes.

The pegs off my 2006 TC 450 dropped right in on my 1996 WXC410. I would think the same would be possible with your 1993.

Husky changed the foot pegs in 1994 on the 4 strokes and 1995 on the 2 strokes, so unfortunately they are not the same as the 96 pegs.

during the time I had a 93 and 92 there was nothing similar as stated the pegs go over and no one does that these days
the 80's Husky type are similar but not sure if they fit, good luck and keep us posted
