• Husqvarna Motorcycles Made In Sweden - About 1988 and older

  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

So been trying to find a watercooled 4 stroke locally with a want add for a few a months. No luck yet.

Picking up another 86, some ones project bike.

He has not touched it a few years. Some parts look very mint still. The crank is stuck and not rusty with a good top end still?? Has another good crank and rod for it to put in.

He has too many bikes (only this 1 Husky) and he asked me if I would want it, well i struck a great deal ($600) he lost money on this project :)
I could use a few newish parts for my bike, i had it out about 75 times this season ;) brap

I want a mint stock pipe for the other 400 in my 87 WR
I need a clutch cover and kicker for the bush bike, wore out lol the kicker is about too fall off.
The clutch basket is getting ugly on the back gear teeth, the seals or bearings have never been done yet.
Back wheel hub is done, bearing falls out on sprocket side, been that way for 2 seasons.
1/2 inch play from the shock linkage at the seat, the spherical bearings (clunk clunk) lol
All them parts are mint on this new 86, so....

I will most likely get all the bearings and seals, spit the cases and swap cranks, then put the 430 top end on that. Slap the left over stuff together as a spare running 400.

The other 2 400s
but the spare ugly bikes motor is the 87 and the rest is in boxes in a shed.
That rear wheel is beat and sloppy linkage on it too. :(

More parts to consume is always good..
