• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

630 smoking from head vent hose?

nex

Husqvarna
C Class
I'm running a pod filter on my 630 SMS, with relocated vent hose (tipped with it's own pod filter) that used to connect head to the air box.

I noticed there was some smoke coming from the hose pod filter... problem or normal? Typically you would not even notice this since it would route into the air box.

You're going to have some amount of crankcase vapors, including a small amount of oil burning off and blow-by from the cylinder, especially with a big thumper where the crankcase pressure pulses so dramatically.

Where did you locate your new vent filter? If you go and do wheelies, you'll end up with oil dripping out the end of it. I've got that issue with the stock airbox... :p

Maybe a good idea to add a catch can to this line...

I am thinking of doing a pod filter mod on my TE610 - is that a UNI?

I want to route an intake tube past the tubular frame where your pod sits and position the pod under the seat where the battery is = I have space there due to using a small Li ion Ultrabatt.

What inside diameter intake flange did you use on the pod?
Does the 630 also have the locating indent on the airbox flange and how did you deal with it?
