• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

630 Rekluse

Just tried my Rekluse from my 08TXC 450 Part# RMS-856 in one of my 630s works perfect.
Just use the standard 450-510 setup.

Which Rekluse is it? Zstart?
I am happy to hear that, but why didn't anybody figure this out before?

Got a slipper on my 630. Very noticeable when fast cornering, flipping through the gears. Wouldn´t like to be without it.

@hammer: I can't see the advantage of a Rekluse over a slipper in a SM, please explain...
@organ donor: which slipper do you use?

Never mind, Z start pro RMS-856 found on Rekluse's website. Can you explain how you did the installation?

Did you ever get one installed? How do you like it?
Just to let everyone know this clutch works better in my TE630 than the TXC450 it came out of. I wish I had it in the 630 when I did 8 days in Baja.

Not yet due to other projects. It is still on my list. Your input is much appreciated as I would never have known Rekluse makes a clutch that fits the TE610. FYI, my dad is a University of Toronto graduate!

He must be a smart man then.

I got one in my 610 and like A&H says, it works better there than in my WR 250 and TE450. The manual override is better than the stock maual clutch, with very little effort. Very nice.
Thanks for the heads up!

can anyone please comment on this? the guy is not talking about a 630 by the way

"As far as the install goes, the instructions are pretty good, but the section relating to putting a spring on the Clutch Throw Out Assembly was ambiguous at best. It covers the '06-'07 450/510 models but not other models. There is one comment under the '06-'07 450/510 models section that says all other models do not require a thick spacer. The next step then related only to '08 450/510 models - to put the return spring carrier on top of the thrust washer - there are no instructions for other models regarding the "return spring carrier" yet in the next step it says to place the C150 spring over the Spring Carrier. So installed the spring carrier without a washer and hoped that would do the trick."

Anyone know if the Core EXP for the 510 would work in the 610? Comes with the ability to enable bump starting, and a new clutch cover that gives a little more oil volume...
