• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

610 Foot Pegs

Husqvarna
A Class
I have a '08 TE 610 with the stock thin foot pegs and want to upgrade to something wider. Can someone tell me what aftermarket pegs will fit on the 610? I have been told all husky pegs are the same but want to know for sure before ordering. Thanks.

Ive used the Fastways on a 610, but did have to do a little clearance cutting on the right side. IMHO the Pivots are a better answer.

Being my second bike I was not wanting to spend the money on pivots. Fastway is boarder line on cost that I want to spend. Even stock pegs off a WR or smaller TE would be good just to get rid of the thin 610 pegs.

That is actually my plan as well. I plan to get some Warp9 pegs for my 310R and put the stock pegs on my 630. The skinny pegs with the rubber inserts make me nervous about a foot slipping off and causing a crash as well as not comfortable.

The rubber inserts pop out...

I am a big fan of Pivot Pegs - have them on three bikes. Rubber inserts = knock them out and hurl them as far away as you can. Lethal when wet and only there to reduce a few vibes ... what vibes? We ride thumpers after all!

I had fastway pegs on my YZ250 and liked them. The theory behind the pivot pegs is good and the reviews I have read are mixed. Like anything innovative, the old-schooler mentality sometimes outweighs the actual benefits. Most of the guys I ride with are pretty old school and were blown away when I spend the $ for flexx bars, yet they all complain about their old wrists hurting. I plan to put aftermarket pegs on my 310 as I ride it off-road. The 630 will be my dedicated motard so the stock 310 pegs will suffice for it.

I was concerned prior to getting pivotpegz if they would be worth the money, but now I like them so much I put them on all my bikes and even got a set for my brother on his birthday. They are very functional and even comfortable.

Definitely comfortable - this is one of the main attractions because it reduces the rotation/pronation needed of your foot to change gear and use rear brake. Also has a larger 'footprint' than many OEM footpegs so also reduces stress on your feet due to larger surface area.

I found a used set of pivot pegs. They say they are all the same for 2008-2012 so they should fit my '08 610 right?

Funny cuz I ordered the same pegs today. I plan to put them on my 125 and put my stock 125 pegs on my 630. I also noticed the same pegs in red were $100 more.

I found these for my 610.. seems to be the same T6 aluminum alloy made by Warp9 and others.. but half the price.. well let everyone know how the fit when I get em..

Got the pegs in.. nice and stout.. very light too.. right side won't retract though due to'how thick these are so will have to cut some material of the.mounting bracket.. anyone figure out how to mount the OEM spring? Seems might have to do a custom spring

I ran into the same issue. Looks like the footpeg springs on my 630 are different than the ones on my 125. The CNC pegs went on the 125 no problem but when I tried to put the stock 125 pegs on my 630, the springs were wrong. I plan to order some springs for the 125 and use them on the 630.

So the stock "return springs" worked for CNC pegs on the 125? how is that.. the only way I can see the springs working if for both ends to be on the same side.. the way they are on the 610, then ends stick out 180deg from one another, and there is nothing for one end of the spring to grab on to on the frame side.. if that makes sense.. on the stock 610 pegs, the end of the peg is hollow, so one end of the spring bites in side the peg, and the other end pushes against the mount.. which gives it the downward force to keep the pegs from flopping up and down on the pivot pin.
