  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

511 wobble

Huskygoat

Husqvarna
Need some help to solve my problem. I have had my 2011 511 for 12 months ..its now done 950 km .... Basicly Im scared to ride it. it hard to explain in words what it does but its like riding with a rear flat .... People pull up at the traffic lights and say mate wtf's going mate ... that's horrific..
I took it back to the dealer and they gave me a new front tyre and balanced it.... Then said that is how they are....

The wobble starts a 95km and get worse till 135km ... its really thrown my confidence big time to the fact I don't want to ride it any more.. I have owned 11 husky's in my life and love them but this one has got my number..

Any suggestion ...even the most basic help would be appreciated ....
ok this week I dropped the forks done the clamps .... I think that helped a little..
the shop wants me to sit back on the seat more... doesn't feel right..
Standing up helps ...

Thanks Graham

I get a slight wobble at around 90 but it dissapears after 100.
Have you looked into a steering dampener? Maybe the gooseneck/tripleclamp bearings aren't preloaded tight enough?

I had this wobble in my TE 511 and with a Scott's steering damper. I lowered the rear shock 5mm and changed the front tire, no more wobble, at any speed.
