  • Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Beleive me the best food ive had was in oz our restaurants are crap in comparison didnt have a duff meal the entire time we were over there.
 
Tonight we are having free range, grain fed, slow roasted and pulled chicken with skillet fried oil basted chats...commonly called KFC n chips...
 
no its rabbit fried chicken apparently....it seems anyone that works there is a veterinary pathologist as they all say "its rabbit"

My Auntie worked there and said it was Cat but she could have been having a lend.
I rekon the best food is in Aus but then I've never been anywhere else.:thumbsup:
 
I was in Krakow Poland in 2004, I went to some dodgy Chinese restaurant down a little lane way.
I ordered Mongolion beef, when the meal came out the beef looked really weird, nothing like the beef we get in Australia.
After trying a few pieces the taste was very strange. I reckon it was dog.
 
I did a trip to china years ago and a mate and wife were there to look at getting repo furniture made...they went to a factory that did that stuff then finalised a deal and the owners said "come home for lunch"..the 3 stretched out Alsatian skins on the shed wall made them wish they had said no!

the 100 day eggs and the dried camel hoof were up there with the worst things ive ever eaten..i can still taste them..yyeeeuuuk
 
some of the big banquet dishes we had were stunning tho, amazing flavours. Christ knows what was in them...we didn't.
