• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Huh. We, ummm, ride really different stuff.

Yeah, those poor guys up north have to spend all thier time weaving around those disguised monoploes and repeater towers but I bet they get great cell phone reception.:D

I've heard the same thing...what kind of tricky stuff?

Switchbacks, switcbacks with stepups, stepups, cliffs. Like i said nothing any decent rider can't handle but not a place where you want a loose mistake prone rider to ride as you might never see them again. It is steep up there and lots of opportunity to ruin your day if your not focused in some sections.

David, you'll do great there. Maybe the weekend after this one?

WOW...we have nothing like that back east. I would love to ride some trails like that someday.

You're riding up there with Jake tomorrow (Thursday), right? I will be bringing a very small group to ride with Jake on Saturday at the blue lake ORV trail head. I wish you were going to be there to push my friend, Richard Ro, who rode with you buddy Scott the other day. I'll have to check my schedule, but I'm pretty sure I can do a ride with you in a couple of weeks! Has Jeremy ridden in a while? I haven't heard from him in a while!

'Going camping with the fam this weekend. Yes, Jake and i are doing trail maintenance tomorrow.

- Jeremy is in the middle of building an AWESOME shop.

What kind of shop?

Big home workshop / bike storage. Very sweet with heated floor. Very envious.

Scott is faster than me.

Thought I got his number this year with the amazing TXC450 (he was on a YZ250), but then he decided to drop a LOT of weight and get a TXC450 (after riding mine). Crap  Love riding with that guy cause I have to push. Plus he is a funny F-er once you get to know him.

Jake will be there, he can push a lot of riders as you know.

That's funny because Richard is now racing a YZ 250, which he absolutely loves, coming off a Yamaha WR 250 F.
