  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

449/511 PCV question: 2 maps available?

511 with Power Commander 5. Had the PCV installed and tuned at a BHP Motosports in Sacramento, CA. The power-up plug is also installed. Question: Is there an available 2nd map (slot?) available if the power-up-plug is pulled out? Can I pull the plug and load a second map without messing up the map when the power up plug is in?

You have to have the map switch to be able to switch maps without a computer and do it on the fly.a different map. 49.00 from Powercommander. It is also very easy to load and or adjust maps with a laptop and the program.
I have saved powercommanders maps and Zyptys maps they were so kind to give us.
No reason to pull any plugs. If your all installed, go to powercommanders web site, do a little reading, download
The program, load the maps on this site at, ziptys section. You can do do much with it, go to powercommander
and you can do your own map adjustments ect...it is easy...

I just bought a cheap toggle switch at Radio Shack which I use for the Auto Tune to switch between "Learn" mode and Base Map or AT on or off. I would just leave the Power Up Plug in and buy a toggle switch and
mount on the bars then set the map Aaron created (if you're happy with it) as your base map then download the Ballistic Bursen map from Zip Ty as your alternate.

Highwaydirtbikes makes some really nice perch mounted switches, I especially like the clutch lever switch.

Tinken, with all due respect, and that is sincere, I respect the hell out of you and your invaluable contributions to this site, but what are you basing your comment on and what could you possibly know
about BHP? I mean he's a tiny little shop in Sac that I doubt you've ever been to or done business with. I was very pleased with the work he did on my bike and I seriously doubt that Dynojet has done business
with him either.

are you happy with the PCV mod and improvement ? what max HP did you end up with ?

@jerbear610 - I apologize for my comment. When comparing BHP's map numbers to my sets of numbers, his are off by a long ways. I am not sure if it was an error on his air/fuel sensor or low pump pressures. In any event, my comment wan unhelpful. Please accept my apology.

Well, I don't have anything to compare it with but after BHP... No more flameouts and HP was 46.03 with more than 40 from 7000 to 10,500.
OK, how do I find "ziptys section". I looked on the zipty site and powercommander site. Where the heck to I go to download the zipty maps?
I'd love to download a zipty map and swap between that and the BHP map to see it there's any seat-of-the-pants difference.
