• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Had a buddy I used to work with at Fastway fly in for some riding from St Louis. He is going home spent for sure. 155 on the DS bikes and 190 on the dirt. Great weekend with great friends. He picked the perfect weekend too as the conditions could not have been better. Coffee ground dirt, no dust and mild. PERFECT. Also scored a perfect camp ground all to our selves. rode almost every second we were awake including some night riding. Could not have been a better weekend.

buddy Jason from out of town rode my WXC250 and LOVEd it. Said it was the single best all around trail bike he has ever ridden (he owns a 2010 TE250 and has a YZF450 and YZ250 as well). Rode my WR144 for a mile and stated "I'm buying one" :D

Thats what week ends are for, riding with your mates. Looks like great mixed riding country.
 
Jason is one lucky dude getting to pull off a ride like that. Hopefully he won't be ruined on the midwest riding we've been doing as our season should just be getting good. Sounds like he's got a little case of the small bore flu as well. Great pics as always.

We talked about you some. He is stoked for good riding this year. He loved the 144 instantly, some people it takes a while to learn the motor. He hit it perfect, the conditions could not have been better. I was already setup with camp, his buddy Mike picked him up from the airport with all the camp / food crap, He slept in my trailer and rode epic guided routes with stashed gas, and is now out tooling around in my turbo Saab. :D He owes me one. See ya soon. :p
 
Are the husky that much faster than the other bikes, you have all that free time to take pictures? Fantastic RR, and pics.

What kinda Yahoo rides a envirment killing dirt bikes, and owns a eco friendly Saab?
