• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I've searched the web, and looked at the parts fiche, but can't seem to find what this 2nd sight glass is???

It's the one above the oil glass.

Just a plug for the kick-start you don't have on the 610.

Also, is your brake pedal touching the eccentric pedal stop? If it's not, it should be. That helps keep you from yanking your master cylinder apart if you drop it on the right side. Also makes the seals and internal spring clip last longer.

Sorry, not sure what you are referring to by the stop?

EDIT: wait, are you talking about the round part with te offset Allen bolt in it - just up to the left of the Husky logo?

If so, yes, the brake pedal is in contact with it when it returns to position. Not sure how that would protect it in a spill though - the pedal still has play left to right (towards engine).

The little off-center round thing above the pedal pivot. That is the pedal return stop and should be touching the pedal. That keeps the pedal from putting too much force in the master cylinder if you drop it or let the pedal snap up.

The clevis on the master cylinder that connects to the pedal is actually slotted, and you should adjust the round piece above until the pin is loose in the slot.

Thanks for all the info. I'll check that out. The brake pedal is definitely touching the stop - but I'll also make sure the connector to the MC is loose enough.

I'm just getting back into dirt riding after 20 years, so I'm sure this bike will see its share of falls :)
