• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Invitational trail ride (unnamed)
105 (overbooked) started, 41 finished all sections of the 2 section ride.
Average Skill level of riders at this ride @ A some Pros, Gold medal ISDE guys and ISDE vets and alot of industry guys, see ride sponsor sign.
My brand new TE300 got me through all the sections, we left on the ribbon at 0900 did @ 35Mi of relentless single track to the lunch stop @ 45mins then did another @40miles back to the rancho.
We signed off the course at 1650. It was a long day with lots of tough and challenging stuff to keep you on your toes. My TE300 just needs a carb tune up and a rear spring all else was flawless.
The new HuskyKTMaBerg is a real ugly trail weapon.

George Viddy from the ride (in the first foto above George is off to the right video-ing), F-W, George got the lead/fast crew coming through including Gary S crew, we were probably the next group through (no viddy) thenall the others who took a wrong turn right at the start of the ribbon. Also the following group went around the off camber thingy!!

style points.....low, get through it points... high

This climb and turn looks hairy to say the least ... I'm on the look-out for those rock spaces between the rocks that are the right height for disc rotor \ engine case crackers ... Good luck out there with your riding ..

we did that same trail again on this past Saturday.....I failed on that little chute from the riverbed this time, but in doing the pass around which you can see in the background I did it with a full style pivot turn.
