• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Going to give this a try...hope i dont regret it!
Ha. I don't think you will regret!!! Bike needs a flywheel weight ....pull the tank disconnect map switch wire.....remove 14 tooth front sprocket replace with 13 (install o ring chain same time) install Te 250,tank..like 225$ with cap and fuel valve) install Te frame guards tc one worthless....suspension stiff for woods...revalve front and rear..... You now have a near 50 horsepower bike that weighs a mere 212 pounds ...handles superbly... With and incredible engine....doesn't stall pull like a bandit(fast but controlled... Ha ha for the most part) stock I did not like mine...typical moto bike in woods...engine abrupt...stiff suspension....gearing sucked...now...4.5 mile course...beta 250rr 13.50 properly prepped husqvarna 12.52!! No vibration pushes around like a 125....I love it!

So far i have a lectron, frame gds, twisted engineering bars, midwest engineering clutch lever and seat concepts seat. Have to work on the rest can't wait to try it out this week. Engine is really sweet can't keep the front wheel on the ground

Fletch thanks for the reply! What flywheel weight are you using?

At the time I bought mine I believe stealthy was the only one out and they only had one size which fits under the stock cover. I installed it myself in 20,minutes or so ten minutes reading directions...13 tooth a must for woods then you never need first gear pretty much and third gear is awesome....engine does not stall....still spools up quickly and third goes for a long while! And crazy as it sounds you can come to a near complete dead stop and still launch while leaving in third**************************************** Wheeling over obstacle's thru forth gear is effortless! And vibration levels close to small bore and a dry weight of 212 pounds equal one hec of a ride! Stock frame guards throw out...one the de my frame was scratched...Te frame guards were dirt cheap and direct swap...

Rode 30 miles with it and it is too much fun! Fletch why do you think this thing turns so well? It carves better than te250 or te150, front wheel just sticks!!!
