• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2016 KX300 anyone?

Kawasaki would do well to build a 300 2T enduro leaning bike right out of the gate. Air shocks standard. Probably easier to start with the 2T big bore and see how it goes prior to offering 4T models.

It looks like it has a ton of rake in the front forks and would be hard to turn in the woods. Maybe a different set of triples and a 18" rear wheel would help. More 2 stroke choices = a better world.

Yup. The last KX250 2 stroke that I owned was a 2006 model, and it did not want to turn in the tight stuff....plus the powerband was all wrong, and the clutch protested even the lightest amount of slipping for technical sections.

Problem is that the Japanese all seem to think all we yanks do is ride on tracks all day. Funny thing is, everyone I know that has a dirt bike of any kind ONLY ride trails. Granted, there are a lot of track guys out there. But the trail guys just don't get any love.

This rumor keeps coming back.
I thought I read that it came from some guy in Europe that photoshops fake prototype bikes for something to do.

RM & KX 125s show up in emx 125 iv herd the RM is still available in Europe or maybe they dont have a two year rule

lets send'em an email and beg shamelessly Kawasaki is the smallest of the big 4 make enuff noise something will happen
