• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2016 Husqvarna line

I love my Italian Husky with out any doubt. But I would at least like to ride one of the new versions to see if I'm missing anything...

I like that its a "full size" chassis like the WR instead of the small chassis like KTM 125s of the past

My '15 TE125 handles just as well as my '09 WR125/144/165, which was my previous Gold Standard....

Norm what is the basic differences in the geometry in the frame between the two bikes ? Suspension I'm assuming different right ? I'm 5' 8" and about 150 and I love the feeling of a real light weight bike. Do the feel about the same or is one better? I rarely ride my KTM 250 EXCF because of the feeling it rides like a brick compared to my Husky. Sorry I asked so many questions but I may get a new bike in the near future. And I may wanna keep my Husky because I love it so much but want a new bike.

They are similar feeling to me, but I never looked at the frame geometry and dimensions closely. I think it's actually lighter than the WR125. Super sweet and nimble, compared to my Husaberg TE250.

On the 4T thing... I thought maybe a FC or FE250 might make a good second bike and replacement for my Husaberg TE250 2T. I rode a '14 FC250.... It was a nice bike, but it really reinforced that I'm not a 4T guy. The extra rotational mass and engine braking, make it feel too heavy to me.
