• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2016 Fork lugs different than 14-15

Well I ordered 2016 inmold graphic fork guards to update my 2014...they are whte with in mold flo-yellow and blu graphic. They are different than the 14-15 fork lug mounting. they will not fit. my 14 TE300.....dang it. thats what I get for assuming.

That is to bad, maybe different fork lugs make 4CS forks work better, the 16 are supposed to be slightly improved.

Do like I did to old zokes versus new ones/KYB's.

Go get you chunk of aluminum/aluminum pipe machined to adapt them.

What worked best was 1/4 " thick walled aluminum pipe OD sized to ID of fork protector.
1/4 " gives you room to thread in stock fork protector bolts.

If I had bike in front of me, I could do it.....

Just thought?

Post up a pics here of old ones and new ones?

That Flo yellow is fugly too. I checked out the new 16s yesterday in person. Omg
Nothing some graphics can't cover up though

Point of thread back on point It looks like I will get 2006 KTM white fork guards they are the ones that fit the 2014 lugs and are open in the back but have good side coverage for the fork slider surface.

Kant find white ones dang it orange and black are all I can source so far...I remember someone said something about Honda Showa fork guards fitting KTMs??? Anyone???

I don't want the closed back style guards I want the 06 type open back version that fit the 2014 bottom lugs of the forks both the 15 and 16 have a different screw mount pattern.
So I need WHT older style KTM fork guards (open Back, easy removal)

The closed backs are a pita you need to drop the fork leg to remove them. I cut the backs to facilitate removal and even put small holes and used small zipties to secure them back, but they just crap out, if I didn't secure them the end overlap and guards rub like crazy on my slider bushings.
