• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2015 Te300 Starter Issues Out Of The Blue

Jeepcj66

Husqvarna
So I washed the bike as normal after sat-sun ride and cleaned air filter. Fired bike up today went around the block no issue but when I stopped and pushed the Ebutton a second time to restart nothing??? battery reads 12.9v, no click from relay when you hit the button nothing.... You can short the relay with a screw driver and get the starter to go but nothing via the button? thoughts? I"m thinking relay, all the fuses are good might be a little corrosion on the fuse connector blades but other wise nothing noticeable, I cleaned them up and still nothing.

Checked my E button and it was clean, pulled a solenoid off my old 520 and put it in and bingo it works. I guess the new solenoids are not as robust as the old ones. My 520 is 18yrs old and still going the 300 is 3yrs old and dead wth?

Strange, my 15 starter works great still @ over 180 hours and still on the factory battery (which most guys swap out). I imagine it’s one of least expensive components of the starter at least.

wire behind the light in the big white connector was the issue on my 2015 te250. corroded

Ended up being my starter relay. Pulled one off a ktm520 and swapped it, worked perfectly. Go figure a 18yr old part is still working while a 3yr old part is dead already??
