• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2014 Tecate Enduro........6DEC....

Its official the Los Ancianos MC will be hosting a Tecate Enduro for 2014 on 6 Dec.
(Rules should be the same as the AMA/WestChec qualifier type = easy for anyone to manage/no time keeping equipment)

Maybe I should put my bike and gear in an ABF container, ship it out, fly out and ride this enduro. I'd rather do this, than the usual Baja thing. Only way, as unfortunately, I suck at riding borrowed bikes.....

OK, my son (and former riding buddy) just moved back to San Diego, so I'll have to make this race a goal of mine to do with him; hopefully I can make it further then the first gas stop

Cmon Paul almost 6 months to train/ride/prep and the start location is only 1.5 hr away. Check in with REV5 and others for ride days. I too will soon be back in the saddle.

Alright, just went public with my decision. Held a press conference and everything - I'm in. Besdies, if I don't go, I'll miss out on a bitchen weekend in El Pueblo Magico and more war stories for the following year.

Guess I had best move to the summer home (the one near the bitchen taco stand). You know, for training purposes and all.

Nice list

Just a robertaccio FYI Ive ridden every one from 94 on except 2003, 94 enduro houred (KTM300EXC) out on the course, 97 enduro(KTM300EXC)threw in the towel at the lunch stop Kevin Hines won on his trick CRE250, I was hammered-houred out. 2010 enduro one of the best trail rides we ever did(TXC450), all the others tough HS events always burned out at the finish. the trail layout is always epic. It really is a must do event at least once and with the enduro format....its going to be great

I am in!

So looking forward to this!

What is the hot ticket for tire setup down there on a 125? I am bringing bib mouses, too far to go to worry about flats.

Later,

I will ask ZipTy Husky Justin what tires he ran last year on his YZ125 to take the Ironman win at the HS, he raced both the short course AM ammie race and long course PM pro race on his YZ125.
