  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

FE/FC 2014 FE250 Gearing

Husky-Nut

Husqvarna
AA Class
I'm currently running the stock gearing @ 13:52. First gear feels a little bit too low. Suggestions & feedback?

Cheers!

13/50??? drop 2 teeth out back get er to be a little more smooth for your taste, 2 at a time incremental is good step.

I rode BMP Bill's FE250 a few weeks ago here in our tight single track woods and found the gearing to be pretty on point. I spent most of the time in the more open sections in 2nd/3rd and it was nice to have 1st to drop down to for the tech sections. I spend most of the time in 1st/2nd on my TXC250.

I like it. It really shines in the single track snotty stuff. :applause: And when you do want to crank on it, you will be pleasantly suprised. I added a Scotts steering stabilizer (under the bar mount), and I had Race Tech do the suspension for me and it works well. Purchased it new from Manchester Sports Center in CT.
Actually, the harder and faster you ride it, the smoother it gets!

We just picked one up this past weekend. Still very new so the power isn't as good or it just me riding a 300-350 4t. Overall it handles good and clean FI mapping. It runs hot, fan is always on so maybe a re-map is coming. The rider is young and inexperience so no major mods just yet. Also couldn't beat the price!

At least the graphics are molded in so you can just overlay new ones.

Anyone updated the mapping? If you did, did you need a different exhaust?
