• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Just got a new 511 and wanted to update the pegs. I have always used Pro Taper pegs. I checked the Pro Taper website and of course they don't make pegs for this bike.

Do any of you know if a different brand like a Yamaha Pro Taper Peg may fit on my 511. Also any recommendations of another brand peg that has a wider longer platform peg.

Thanks

Wes

I just ordered the aluminum with steel teets listed above - that is a stunner of a price. Ill take some detailed pics when I get them put on. Certainly for the price, you cannot go wrong. I can guess the country of manufacture - but it is a piece of aluminum...not exactly atom splitting here...

Will be interesting to see how they hold up when you drop your bike.

Thanks for the link brother! Those look quite nice.

In your opinion, do they feel comparable to say Fastways?
I had Fastways on my YZ and I liked them. These feel nice and wide and grippy as well. Haven't been on a muddy ride to see how grippy they stay but their design is pretty open so I don't see them packing up. They also came with a few extra teeth so you can replace any broken or lost ones.

Kelly has a point in that aluminum could possibly crack where steel pegs would bend. I figure for $50 I would give them a try. The Warp9 pegs are twice that.

We make some pretty cool platforms which have the screw in grippers for most mmakes and models.

I saw those on your site, they look like a great platform. Are they good for Grand Prix racing, maybe some track time at Glen Helen. Milestone. Just concerned about deep ruts in turns. If they work for that situation they would be great Im sure for all other riding.

Thanks Tinken

I ride some track, Glen Helen, Milestone, dual sport, single track, ...just a bit concerned if they are too big for ruts in turns. If not they would seem to be great.

Thanks Tinken

I have black RHK billet ally footpegs on my 449

I'd love a set of those Titanium Raptor pegs but they are about $400 aus!!

+1 on the Pivot Pegz. I have the MK3's on my TE310. This is the 3rd bike I have ran them on and would hate to go back to fixed pegs again.
