  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hi, new to this site, picking up a leftover 2013 TC 250 for 4700. Think it is a good deal. I am a vet novice ride, just would like to get some feedback on the bike. Performance, parts, how do they hold up. Saw some guys cut the arrestor out of the exhaust. Anything, Thanks!

Great bike I love mine, I would rather ride it than my txc 511 because it is light and I like the handling better. The first thing I did before I even started the bike was put on a pro circuit exhaust. It is said the bike is down on power compared to other 250 four strokes, but I have a rider race the experts class and he is very competitive, in fact at some tracks he beats the local pros. Change oil often. ( we use mobil 0w-40w and change 5-7 hours of riding time) I have 2 sets of air filters and change after every ride. Word of caution when changing oil do not over tighten oil filter bolts or you will strip them out. Learned this the hard way, cost us being able to race the bike on Sunday. Good news is my rider used my 511 and won the expert open class. (had to throw that in for the Husky guys) Enjoy your new bike!
