  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Here in Aus the fantics don't come with the high spec Marzocchi forks or the ohlins 888 shock. They only come with the base spec marzocchi forks and Ohlins shock, but they still cary a massive premium over most other models.
Would be worth it if they came with the same specs as the OS model fantics do, but as they are delivered here they have no better components then other brands.
Why O Why does the rear fender point up on such an angle? Geezz the husky can be hard enough for short people to throw a leg over, the fantic looks as if it would be even harder.

The 2012 Fantic 125 motocross goes for $11400 here, and the enduro model even higher. The 2013 husky 125 motocross goes for just over $7000 as does the enduro 125. Plenty of good parts could be purchased and you would end up with a higher spec bike then the fantic with money to spare.

Too much money for a bike that is basically a 2011 Gas Gas with some bling added.

Guess that depends on what the sweet 48mm zokes with build in preload adjusters, ohlins shock, Scalvini pipe, CNC clutch cover, adjustable CNC triple clamps, nice muffler, a bunch of other stuff and uniqueness is worth to you. Might also bring something to the table handling wise as the frame is different and probably has different geometry. I personally know several people chopping at the bit for one.

Yep my wife didn't need the SHO Taurus but I liked the extra suff for when I drive it :D. All in what we want...I ain't no hater.

those new Taurus' are nice. When they first came out i had to do a double take and thought it was an Aston Martin.

No K that's the new Fushion with the Aston Martin looking front end. The Taurus is bigger and the new cop cars. The SHO has the twin turbo 3.5 Eco Boost 365hp 350 lb ft of tq and awd. I did try and get her into the Fushion but she likes bigger cars like her Audi S6 we traded.

the car i saw that i thought was a Aston was a Taurus because i slowed down to get a better look and was surprised when i saw Taurus on the back of it.

Not really any different than a 2011 Nambotin Edition GG that was $8999. Same 48mm zokes, ohlins shock and billet clamps. The Fantic uses the EXACT same frame dimensions as a 2011 GG. Makes absolutely no sense to pay $11K for one.

I have been told that OSSA is going to bring out the same bike using the old GG frame and motor.

Well if you think the Taurus does what till you see the new Fusion. I'd post you a pic. of my wifes car but thats beyond my skill level lol.
