  • Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

    Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc 2012 WR300 piston kit options and part number please?

Husqvarna
B Class
Hi guys as stated in my other thread my top end is cooked. I was looking up the part number of the piston that had been installed in my bike and it appears to be a ktm part, PRO X 6394.

Can anyone give me a part number for the husky equivalent?

The Pro X piston was sized 71.95mm, so you probably have a 'C' sized cylinder (check for a stamp near the reed cage).

Here are the OEM (aka Vertex) part numbers and sizes:
A = part #8000h0670/1 (71.935-71.945mm)
B = part #8000h0670/2 (71.945-71.955mm)
C = part #8000h0670/3 (71.955-71.965mm)

It also happens that i have a brand new OEM 'C' piston kit for sale in the classifieds. Has everything needed except gaskets.

Weird all these 300 problems.... my 09' had 140-150hrs when I sold it and I never had one issue. And I, unbeknownst to me, rode it around the sierra's for 3 weeks with a cracked radiator constantly running it dry.

Seems like anyone with 09's and below have zero issues. After that its hit and miss.
