  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2012 TE310 Power Commander and Auto Tune Questions

reveille

Husqvarna
Pro Class
Hello,

Sorry but I searched and could not find the answers I seek so please help if you can. I have a 2012 TE310 and just had Halls install the TXC ECU and 12 hole and the bike is pretty good as is. I am looking at adding a Power Commander and auto tune next. What model PCV would I need? I see two models listed, one is basic and one says fuel and ignition. Also what auto tuner fits what PCV? It looks like the auto tuner comes with the O2 sensor? I blame the guys at Halls for planting the auto tuner seed in my head...LOL
Truth is I just paid my bike off and have a bonus check from work so why not blow it on a dirt bike accessory right? I also want to keep the bike running at optimal AFR to help extend my fuel range and have a better running bike overall. TIA

I found a combo PCV and auto tuner with the following part#'s 23-001 + AT-200
Is this the correct setup for a 2012? Also, would it be safe to say I need to remove the power up jumper that disabled the OEM O2 sensor or does that stay in place?

PCV replaces the ecu, so the power plug is irrelevant. Your best bet is to have a Dyno Jet service center install the system, then you can adjust and play with the maps, load new maps, switch between them on the fly, create and share them.

Actually the auto tune option is more my preference. I am not interested in screwing with the settings and I would rather spend more time riding. The auto tune function seems to fit that profile.
Again, does anyone have confirmation of the proper model numbers that will work on a 2012 TE310? I checked for local Dynojet service centers and they are all Hardly Ableson only centers and say things like "You have what kind of bike..?" Very confidence inspiring:rolleyes:

These part numbers are correct.

The Autotune function is very slow, so load one of our race maps to get your bike running closer so the AT doesn't take as long. Later on you can keep your tuned map in map slot #1 and load a custom map into the #2 slot. You can switch between these maps on the fly.

Thank you very much! It looks to be fairly easy to install with just a power lead and ground with the rest plugging into the test port behind the headlight number plate. I wish I had a local DynoJet service center but no luck there unless I make the trek back to Halls.

For a trail rider is there any advantage of the ZipTy maps over the stock TXC map?
Stock map is just that, basic starting point to work from. ZipTy maps are the product of many hours on the Auto-tuner plus the dyno and are closer to getting an end result.
