  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2012 TE250 No Start

Husqvarna
C Class
I just purchased a brand new 2012 te250 and when it arrived off the truck, it cranks, but does not start. I have verified that it is getting spark, and verified that the fuel pump is operating. I have also backpinned the injector and verified it is getting a signal from the ecu. My next step is to take the injector out to verify that it is spraying fuel. We suspect that the injector is stuck. I will probably have to remove the throttle body. If anyone has any ideas, I am all ears. This is my first experience with a husky and it makes me think I chose the wrong color bike.

Probably an idiotic question, but does it have a full tank of fuel? Mine can be irritable about starting if the tank is really low particularly if the tank has been off of the bike. After it has been sitting a while, sometimes I'll cycle the fuel pump on and off a few times before cranking. I'm not sure if that actually does anything, but it makes me feel like the fuel is in the system and properly pressurized.

The dealer didn't do anything silly during transport like plug up the air box or the exhaust did they?

Full tank of fuel, I have the power up resistor and airbox cage and nothing is plugged. I really think it is the injector.

The fuel is fresh. Bike will start on starting fluid, but won't stay running. Good spark, good fuel pressure, pulse to the injector, but no fuel spraying. It has to be the injector. The dealer swears he ran it before shipping the bike, but I don't know. It only has 2 miles on it. If anyone has any ideas .....
