  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2012 TE 310 info

Hi There,
I'm getting back into dirt riding and considering a new TE310. My last bike was a Husaberg FE390 and it was an awesome bike, had it for 2 years with no issues at all.
Are there any gremlins i should know about the TE310? All my bike friends are telling me im crazy to consider a Husky (they all ride KTM's & Husabergs).

Cheers

I have a 2012, only issue I have had was the EFI flash out issue, I didn't piss around with it. I ordered the 12 TXC ECU and injector, installed them and set TPS with Ibeat. Could not be more happy with it.I rode the KTM 350excf and this bike the same day, the TE kicked the Exc ass in the suspension dept, power was very good on both bikes, in the end the TE felt lighter and loved the single track.

Just my 2 cents worth.

The 310 is an awesome bike, and you get a FREE ECU and injector with a new one over here as part of the promo. They also have run out deals already - $1000 OFF (I saw it on a post on DBW). Pumpkin and Berg riders are just jealous over here on how good they are ****************************************

yeh i love my 2011 310, talk to the boys (stefan) at R&D husky at Emu Plains him and his mechanic are fantastic and will hook you up :)

I got my secondhand and I took it to them for a once over, got more then expected and tuned the fuel injection making the bike so much better! (still have stock ecu and injector) bus as said above try and score the txc ecu and injector everyone seems to love the change :)

have fun with the husky!

I had my better half swing a leg over a 310 yesterday. She's plenty tall and raved about how it felt lighter to her vs. the new Katoom 350 and waayyyyy lighter than a Yamaha WR250 which were both in the same dealership. Waiting for later in the model year to maybe pull the trigger on that one for her. Then I can sneak out on it now and again when she's not lookin!
