  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2012 TE 310 hour meter

Serdy

Husqvarna
Does anyone know if the 310 has an hour meter in the dash? I'm told that it may or may not, but I can take it to a dealer and they can check the hours by plugging it into their computer there. The nearest dealer to me is 3 hours away, so...yeah, that's not worth it. I'm just wondering if I need to buy a meter and install it myself.

Thanks!

If it's anything like the one in the 2008, don't look too hard to find it.
My dash shows 22 hours, plug in with the computer software and it showed around 11.
being as I bought the bike used, it was a nice surprise for me when the mechanic said the computer is right, it shows hours running time while the dash shows hour the key was turned on.

Yes, as you scroll thru the dash menus you will find it. I'll check tomorrow and see which one it's after as you scroll.

Did you get the manual?

It will show up in the dash screen section if it has one. I'm away from the manual and the bike so can't check it.

I don't actually have the bike yet. I'm gonna pick it up when I come home on leave in about 10 days!

I just looked and my 2012 manual doesn't say jack about an hour meter, but I walked over to the bike and scrolled thru the menu and walla, right after the tachometer in the scrolling was the hour meter, you will know when you see an H in the bottom right of the screen.

Mine does. Hit the main button and pay attention to the info displayed on the right side of the screen. It's there.

Well, I'll be damned. Yep, me too. Nothing about it in the manual.
