• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Got out on the new bikes yesterday. Had a couple of really good impressions, actually a couple of surprises. I will get something written up this weekend after Pala, but here are couple of quick pics, including Danny Laporte on the TC250.

wow the TC449 is "the one" that's very good news!! Chilly you doing a write up on your site (enduro360) or hitting the MX nat first?

txc, i do like the option of the kickstart on mine if the easy button doesnt work for some reason though. its nice to have a backup

I so want to try that new TC250, i bet it rips now and LOVE the light feel and handling. Amazing bikes.

Glad to hear you like the TC449, will be interested in your impressions. just added 11hp to my personal 511. It now breaths fire.

Kind of hard to form too many useful opinions on the models with just one day of riding a few different ones, especially if they are sprung for heavier (average) riders. I would love to pick one of each discipline and spend an entire day on each with the proper springs for my weight. I will have some comments and pics as well as news about the new line of racing clothes in a report soon.

Hey Chilly. In your write up you keep talking about the new KYB shock on the 449/511s. You mention several times that the 11s had a Sachs. My 2011 TE449 most definitely has a KYB shock on it. The progressive spring is what is new for 12, not the shock itself.

I found that the 2011 is way oversprung in the rear even for a 200lbs porker like me. That being said, I think I will order up the progressive from the 12 and put it on my 11.
