  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hey guys

I am new to Husqvarna and 4 strokes - Previously owned a 07 KTM 250 2 stroke!

I picked up this beast a month ago with 500k's on the clock like new but it is stock standard other than the normal restrictions being removed but so far i have done the following....

Cleaned up all the wiring and spiral wrapped exposed areas
Husky MX sticker kit
2011 KTM front fender
Rear brake fluid extender thingy!
Radiator guards
Cycra hand guards
Renthal fat bars
Fork bleeders
Case saver
13/50 sprockets

I am also looking at header/pipe , 12 port inj/ecu , better bash plate and other bling bits but if there is any other tips , tricks or shops out there to get the best out of the bike let me know!

Cheers

Acquired a Motard kit with Brembo 320mm disc and 4 pot caliper with lines and extended master cyl/lever and have a 12port/ecu/PC V , fmf 4.1 full system, zipty bashplate plus other bling bits on the way :D

That will wake it up. I may be wrong but if you get a PCV with auto tune you don't need to upgrade the ECU to the TXC race version because the PCV bypasses the ECU. You might get away with just the 12 hole injector to same some $. I hope someone chimes in to clarify but that is my understanding of it. Enjoy:)
