  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2011 TE310 sprocket question

Hi, I'm having a tough time getting a straight answer from dealers about sprocket compatibility across different years/models. Can anybody say for sure if front sprockets are the same on the 2010 and 2011 TE310? I'm specifically looking for a 12T for the 2011, the only part number I can find is specified for a 2010 and I can't tell for sure if they are compatible. I know the engine was all new for 2011 and don't really want to waste $25+shipping on a part that definitely won't fit my bike!

As for rear sprockets, I found parts that claim to fit "all models, all years, 1992-2012". Is that really plausible -- all Husky's have used the same rear sprocket pattern for the last 20 years? Great to hear if true, but again, I'd prefer not to drop the cash on a part that has no chance of fitting my bike.

Thanks!
KF

The Front Sprockets are different for sure. The 2011 has the X-Lite Engine which uses a different Spline.

As for Rears to my knowledge they are the same, for sure from 2006 - 2013 are identical.

So are husky rear sprockets interchangeable across all models? I'm looking at going back to a 50 on my 310.

edit (i was being lazy).. i just pulled the rear wheels off my 310 & 610 and can confirm the rear sprockets are interchangeable. i didnt try the front though - sorry.

Cool, thanks for clarifying. Next question, anybody know if there is a 12T front out there that fits an '11 TE310? I'm lazy too and hate pulling the rear wheel to unbolt the rear sprocket, prefer to swap the front if I could find anything other than the stock 13T.

Thx!
KF
