  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2011 Te310 - Small Throttle Opening Issue

B Class
Hello, everyone

I have some problem with injector system (i think...). But from the begining, aproximitly 30 sec to one minut after start motor (start normaly) when i open throttle a litle bit there is a moment when rpm falls (engine off if i hold it for a while). When i open throttle more then passes through this state and rpm go up normally.

If engine works about one minut (aproximitly) everything is back to normal and throttle works fine. But it's enough that off engine, wait a moment, start it again and problem back. Regardless of whether engine is cold or warm.

Firstly i though it was a problem with air filter oil (to much). But i instal brand new filter with less oil and it not works.

I try to adjust idle but i can't get over it... it works the same at 1800 and 2500 rpm. By the way i cant set 1600 rpm acording to manual. i managed to 1750.

I would be very grateful for any advice, maybe do you have some experience or maybe it is normal in this model ?

Regards
Mikołaj

Might be you need a TPS (throttle position sensor) adjustment. This is done using iBeat software connected to your warmed up bike. A shop may have it and many here have their own. It’s a little like a small timing adjustment.
