  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2011 te310 power bomb header

I see fmf doesn't make a header for the 310 but they have one for the 250. Well the one for the 250 fit on the 310. I am looking to go with a complete exhaust and wanted to go with the new q4 muffler. What exhausts are you guys running

Pro Circuit and Akrapovic 250 pipes fit the 310 so I called FMF to check and they told me they didn't know - turned me off so I called ProCircuit and they were very helpful and having a 20% off sale on their system so I was tempted - but ended up getting the racing Akrapovic from ChromeAddiction for $589 delivered. Installed it last week and rode last Sunday for the 1st time - quite impressed. I also installed a JD Tuner just in case idt needed to be richened up but ... without putting the bike on a dyno I can't tell. (I might sell my original TXC310 if anyone wants/needs it)

Check with Halls. They've been running the FMF systems, so they should know.

How's the sound level compared to stock?

my 310s all sorted now after tps reset and small tweek to co1, its got a fmf power bomb header from 250 and 310 fmf q4 silencer rocks. all just bolt on and go. a flying machine it certainly is now. any bogging or stalling sorted by chucking the 13 40 gearing in favour of lower gearing and the co1 tweek. (didnt richen it it was leaned to 95 from stock 100 setting. its running 12 45 gearing (about the same as 13:48) so can have option of 13 front for any long road trips
only down side is noise. tested at 98db at 7000 rpm yesterday but this will no doubt come down when baffle is repacked, if needed to pass noise limit.

My Akrapovic race system with spark arrestor tested at 85db at 5000 rpm (they used KTM350 rpm since they didn't have info on rpm for the Husky) I think it's a little louder than that but ... what do I know. To my ear it sounds a lot like the stocker at idle but has a lot deeper growl when revved. The JD tuning specs add a little fuel at low and mid throttle settings and take away a little when wide open and greatly increase the "accelerator pump". Setting for a stock pipe seem to work well with the Akra - and horsepower mirrors what I expected looking at the Akra dyno charts - a serious kick at low to mid rpm and smooth transition to higher top end over-rev power.
