• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Thanks for the pic! Would you have more of the 250? I'm getting ready to order the tire and wheel set

This bike is to much fun !!! I just picked up the "short" 630 SM kick-stand and it fits perfect. So all I
had to do to make my 510 SMR wheels work was :simply drill out the front rotor to 8mm and buy a new
kick-stand. Save the Knobbies for the good stuff.IMGP0004.JPGIMGP0007.JPGIMGP0010.JPG

Finally got the sm setup for my 11 TE 250 also. You arent kidding it is a blast, smooth on the tarmac. I went with pirelli demon sports.. 150 R, 120 F. It says max 42 psi cold..what do you run in yours, or what would you recommend? heres a pic of mine, thanksimage.jpeg

Bike looks great, again you will have so much fun with this set-up. I am running BT-003's at 28-32 psi for street ridding in CA. 22 at the track. Did you go with a big front brake ???

thanks, very happy with the ride and the purchase of wheels/tires. Speedometer is way off with shorter wheels, maybe 7-10 mph LOL but I can verify it with someone in a cage and it doesnt really bother me, having too much fun. I went with with the same hubs, rotors and sprocket as the TE in hoping to simplify swaps. Hopefully next spring I can source out tracks days here in maryland where I could really use the help of big brakes. I do belong to a local dirt club called SMDR here but no SM clubs or known tracks as of yet, just empty technical "park n ride" lots :-)

Update, Santa is bringing my 11 250 TE a set of Marchesini wheels and a EBC front brake kit. Pics
after set up.
