  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2011 TC 449 issues..HELP!

A Class
After only about 8 hours, my TC started spitting out oil. From what I can see poaaibly from the breather tube into the air box, I can't seem to find any other possible place, I tore this nightmare down to the engine, the wire harness is soaked..im left scratching my head. It runs great, I just have to find this issue is...Possibly crank seals? any thoughts?

P.S. I am a vet pro..and I love this bike, once I learned how to ride it...the handling is better than any other 4 stroke I have owned!

The bike can't handle full oil capacity and spews out. The picture above is the full zip-Ty kit that allows the bike to keep all of the oil and then some. Oregonsage tested out just a part of the system (forgot what it's called though) and after that simple mod he hardly had any oil seepage. Tinken helped develop it all and I'm sure he'll tell you what part it is to order. The guys here tend to fill the oil up until half way up the sight glass so it doesn't spit oil out. It's bad for obvious reasons though. Even though they haven't had issues though. Good luck, it's the best bike I've ever ridden!

I bought the tank, breather & oil fill cap, but if you just put one quart in it when you change your oil,
You will be fine. Clean that air filter while your at it.
