• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2011 SM630 for sale in SC

Virginian

Husqvarna
AA Class
When I was looking for a SM, I almost bought this bike. 674 miles and bone stock. The fuel tanks had issues and it was in the shop for warranty on it. 3 months later the salesman followed up with me on it and it's for sale now. The sale rep who was very pleasant was Tim Davis.

I'm not sure if anyone is in the market but I thought I would post it. I have no affiliation of this bike or the dealership selling it.

Stopped by and looked at it the other day out of curiosity. Stupid thing is, it's about one mile down the road from the local Husky dealer, Upstate Cycle, and when my 630 had the same tank leak, I was in and out of there in an hour...

I paid less than the asking price for my new '11 last June, ~$6200 out the door, from Upstate.

TSBMW also says it has a 260mm front rotor, someone pulled stats from the TE :p

Yeah, I figured the price was out of line but that's their asking price. I asked about why it took almost 3 months to fix. Tim said that he thought that Upstate Cyles, who used to have Ducati and now this dealership has the franchise may have dragged their feet in the repair. Who know... If I pursued it I would have made an offer quite a bit less than their asking price. Hopefully this fine bike will find a home.

I'm in Upstate every couple months (for non maintenance reasons) and Gerald said they were having a tough time getting some warranty parts from Husky. With my tank, I opted to just buff the seal face and torque it down, which worked. Touring Sports probably said to go with a new tank, which could have very well taken that long.
