• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Not much tp report yet, just returned from the ITR facility layed hands on a Pro Circuit muffler to help Mirko get it repacked for the FIM sound check. Then went to the Husky demo ride. After the demo checked in with the ITR mech (Mirko) as he brought SL505 (Sean's) RMZ bike over to the FIM dB spec test. Failed sound...... installed ex outlet ring (reducer), went back to sound check passed. Don't ya think that PC would have a complete package set up for an FIM 94dB test.....with no mystery. Anyway its all good. Sean wanted to test the bike with FIM fuel and the quiet pipe and Milestone was closest and has lights......we arrived after the SL505 van and after a few minutes the guys, Mech and rider informed us they left the FIM spec fuel back in the motorhome,,,,ran back to GH then back to Milestone and they got some testing done, but not on the main track (there was Fri nite MX racing). Oh yeah Sean is this guy

note right near the end of the 2nd moto 505 Sean L got the confidence back and started doing the triple(kind of table) to the double at the north side of the track, even the works 250s were near the edge of the upper double lip everytime close to casing.

On Saturday qualifying, they were both nailing this but the track was bone dry with no dust... that triple must have been close to ? 150 Ft? and then a monster double going uphill.... it was a make or break set of jumps at the back side... best guy I saw all day on that section in qualifying was Weston Peik...#35 Kawi... he qualled #19 so he must have not done well ont the rest of the track... he had heating , cam and throttle body issues all day on his Kawi...

That section was soft even on saturday when it was hot out... you know how GH turns into a bottomless pit at teh bottom of all of those big hills after a big rain... youll be in all the way to the cases in no time....

Weston Peick carried himself very well as a privateer and basically a local pro racing in a GP. that course was tough and at that level and speed for those long motos......was brutal and scary

for some reason there are 2 vids one with motor noise and one with foo (foo is a better vid)
In moto 1 cairoli could never get a good line for yamaha hill he caught desalle there but spun out and desalle gapped him, in moto 2 frossard and cairoli crashed on the opening lap in the same spot, the little first hit on the way up yamaha hill. For TC222 yamaha hill was his nemesis.

Amazing how much the Video absolutely flattens out that track... makes the big triple in the back look like a little roller!!!

Great Vid Rob! Thanks for posting... anyone have a vid link of the race to post?

I've never saw that much speed on a cam on a track .... the distances of the up and down hills was insane ....

Doug Dubach was absolutely flying in Vet Moto 1

I'm sure he was upshifting into fourth or maybe fith coming down Yamaha into the uphill Triple/double
