• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2011 Husqvarna Sms 630 - What Is It Worth ??

I have decided to start a business and since I have not even thrown a leg over my 630 since I purchased it last July I will more than likely list it for sale soon. This is where I need the opinion of other Husky 630 owners - what is it worth ? I will list all of the extras I have purchased over the past few months. First of all it only has 3 (THREE) MILES ON IT. This was put on by the dealer after the Power Up kit was installed. I have started it weekly (run up to operating temperature) and it stays on a Battery Tender. This is a list of what I have purchased for the Husky. So far only a few pieces have actually been installed.

JD Jetting EFI Tuner
EHS Racing Black Bullet Billet Mount for Tuner
Voyager Accessory Handlebar Mount For Tuner Mount
EHS Racing Pre Cleaner Assembly (Black)
7602 Racing Red Radiator Guards and Brace
7602 Racing Red Oil Filter Cover
SME Bar Ends
SME Red Front And Rear Sliders / Axle Blocks
Acerbis Black Handguards
Acerbis Swivel Mount Handlebar Bracket For Handguards
Touratech Red Brake Cable And Reservoir Guard (INSTALLED)
Arrow Carbon Fiber Exhaust With ECU
R&G Exhaust Guards
Husqvarna Skid Plate
Husqvarva Luggage Rack
Husqvarna 35mm Lower Seat
Husqvarna Red 42T Rear Sprocket
Husqvarna Red 520-120L Chain
Hammerhead Red +20 Shift Lever Tip
Warp 9 Red Brake Pedal Tip
Red Filter For Tank Vent Tube
Moto-Science Mirrors (INSTALLED)
Pivot-Pegz (INSTALLED)
ASV Black Shorty C5 Brake And C6 Clutch Levers (INSTALLED)

I do not plan to sell anything by itself - this will be a package deal sale only. I intend to list it locally and on Ebay within a few weeks.

THANKS !

If you're insistent in not splitting any farkles, you almost might as well not bother listing them all. Selling something used, farkles are worth almost nill... Probally get interesting input about a selling price, as selling prices brand new were ALLOVER the map. Good luck.. Im sure a new used 630 will make someone awfully happy! :)

Yep, and I might be willing to pick up a few things on that list if you did piece them out...

I received a offer earlier today to purchase individual parts and answered that I do not intend to do that . What I plan to do if I do not sell the bike is to install everything this summer and store it for my grandson.
I appreciate the offers and interest but really just wanted a idea of what it would be worth as a 2011 SMS 630 with only 3 miles and all of the listed accessories.
Thanks to everyone !

It's worth what some ones willing to pay. Not being a smart ass, but it's true. Try $9k loaded. If you find a buyer that's willing to pay that, than its worth it! Shit, try $11k those mods aren't cheap!

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the standard to expect no more than half of the cost of the add ons when putting something up for sale? If so, I'd think you'd be much better off selling the add ons, and then the bike.

Like 1lunger said, it's worth what someone is willing to pay for it. If you can find someone who would add many of those parts on after purchase they would see how much they could save buying a bike with all those parts already available. I'd put it up for sale for $9K. That was the original stock price and while many of us bought it for significantly less than that the fact that you can't find new ones anymore (let's face it, this thing is brand new) means the factory discount we received is pointless in the resale value. Once the 630 replacement comes out and people see how much better the old one was it should only help resale.

Man, that sucks. All that money and effort and then never ride it? No offense, but that's embarrasing. I always recommend new riders put some miles on a bike and get to know it before spending a bunch of money on add-ons. But I guess if you have the money burning a hole in yer pocket... ;)

As said, put the bike back stock, ask $6500, you'll probably get a buyer. The used ones are not bringing more than they sold for new (yet). I'm curious what the ratio of SM's to TE's sold was. The accessory parts sell pretty good on forum classifieds. 95% of the time a buyer wants to do his own mods, and they are usually stretching to buy it in the first place, so a stock bike at a good price is way easier to move.

That bike can go for $7K to $7500 all day - If you want, PM me and I'll chat with you about mine which has a lot of the same stuff and what i paid for it - Or, if you're cool with it, I post up what I got mine for

If it´s true that the 630 has been taken out of the US market but is still sold elsewhere, potential buyers in the US would have to pay a premium. If the bike is in "as new" condition and taking it that the 630 needs a good few mods to make it acceptable (p/u kit JD tuner, Arrows&EFI etc), I can´t see the price being much lower than the original purchase price.

best way to find out what it is worth is put a price on it and see if it sells...

on the other hand if you want to dispose of those arrow cans and ecu I'd like them for my SM which doesn't have much more than a few hundred miles on it..

To get the most out of it and attract the most buyers to the bike, you need to put it back to stock and sell the addons separately.

Also, starting it weekly is doing more harm than good, unless you take it for a ride and get everything up to operating temperature.

What is this based on? Have you actually seen or heard of any that have resold for these figures or are you just rationalizing in your own mind?

I just bought one a month ago and did plenty of research on them prior to my purchase so no, not rationalizing in my own mind

Yeah, that's about the top for the one described above, with everything. Unfortunately, prob more like 55.
