  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Just wanted to let you guys know that they are here. My dealer, Ridersville Cycle just got there first shipment of 3 2010 TXC 250's today. I guess 1 of them is spoken for. They also have 2 2010 TC 250's in case anyone is looking. Needless to say I will be heading up there tomorrow morning.

1 more little fact I heard today was that the '10 TXC 250's have a small rear sprocket but the bike comes with a spare large sprocket and chain. Evidently the Italians thought it would be cheaper for us to replace the TE one than the factory workers.

I heard that taller gearing enables a bike to pass a sound test at a certain mph by allowing the engine to turn fewer rpm and put out less sound. If that is the case with the new bikes, they probably have to come that way showroom stock.

I am really curious to see a 2010 TXC250. I am getting the impression that they are more "TE" than "TC" like they were in 08/09.

Maybe that is EFI related. I know Dirt Bike Magazine has had one of both since July and they are only moderately pleased with the TC. No word on the TXC as of yet.

I do not believe they have the EFI TXC. Could be wrong but i don't think so.

Txc 250

I tried to link it from DB mag, but wasnt able to. If you go to the news section of DB and lok up #101 (Currently), it is a quick review about the TC and TXC 250. Sounds like they only had them a couple of weeks before having to send them to Zip Ty Racing.

I thought both reviews were positive. But of course, you can't satisfy everyone. The moto crowd will always want more hit, hit, hit...like a two stroke. Well, get a 2 stroke I guess.

I think these new 250f motors will be perfect for off road riding and racing. DB mag talks about the TXC having almost as much power as the TC, but with less of a hit....I know that is what I want in an off road mount...easier to ride off road nastiness, which means you can ride faster for longer periods.

I want one......:applause:

Pics from Vegas dealer meeting, I was assuming the internal gearing was quite different than previous years. Many people talked about that rear sprocket. As you can tell this is a TE250.

I can't believe they don't like the radiator shrouds. IMO no bike company builds a better looking class of dirt bikes. Everytime I go riding my Husky's all I hear other than I didn't know they still made bikes is how cool the bike looks.

Well I could not wait and need one for development so I put a deposit down on a 2010 TXC250 and have the 610 up for sale. In this economy just can't afford both. Someone buy my 610... NOW!!! :D

This will be my 7th bike form Taskys
