  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2010 te250, clutch adjustment issue

Te250Gary

Husqvarna
AA Class
I have a 2010 te250 and I cannot figure out how to adjust the clutch.
The engagement point for the clutch it right at the end of travel on my lever, I'm afraid the anymore wear in the clutch will cause it to start slipping.
How the heck do you adjust the hydraulic clutches to change the engagement point closer to the handle bar?

The only adjustment I know of is via the lever which should have reach adjustment, not aware of anything else adjustable.

Have you worked out what's wrong with it? I am having the same problem with mine. Was told by couple guys I was riding with on weekend that there is no adjustment and it may be worn and needs replacing

Make sure you have corrrect level of fluid in clutch resevior. The master and/or the slave cylinders can leak.

I don't think anything is leaking. If something was leaking I would think the clutch pull would become further, Not shorter.
I replaced the clutch, it was super easy and fast. And that did not fix the problem. The old clutch had tons of meat on it.

This is a most annoying issue.

I had this problem when I installed thinner, Honda CRF plates in my TE450, I ended up grinding about 1/16" off the push rod, allowed the clutch pack to collapse fully and felt alot better.
