  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2010 te 250 & cycra crm handguards

i brought home a 2010 te 250 wednesday and promptly put it in the garage... between work, bike prep, and the extended winter we're having i've yet to ride it.

with the bike i also came home with a set of cycra crm handguards, and fitment has been a test. because of my height i flipped the bar clamps to put the bar further forward, but this seems to cause the right crm mount to cover the ignition switch. the clearances on the left seem tight with the choke lever.

anyone have some insight?

p.s. the ktm's seem jealous of the husky, and the husky seems nervous around the ktm's... i'll have to sell an orange bike to make more room for the swede.

Not sure wich Cycra your mounting,we fit most with the pro bend, with top clamp mount kit wich bolts right on after drilling the bar end to 9/16.Send a pic maybe can help.billf

husaberg is swedish and husqvarna is italian :excuseme:

go here for cycra's page for the crm (center reach mount). if i can't make the crm's work on the husky, i'll put 'em on the 450 exc and put the 450 hardware on the husky. both are probend, the only diff is the center mount. and don't worry, i'll swap the plastic to the right bike... there'll be no orange handguards on the husky!

is there a kit to remove the choke lever from the bar and return to a button on the throttle body?

i knew someone would pounce on my "swede" comment... i'm old school i guess, and still think of husky's as swedish, even though they're mixed breed now, right? italian and bavarian

finally got a little street putt in tonight... digging this bike!

I have the CRM's on my TXC. They're great. The bend clears the control cables and lines. But I don't have an ignition switch to get in the way.

I have CRM's on my 09 TE450 and it leaves just enough room to get the key in, but the bars are in the rearward position.
