  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Hey fellas, just picked up a mint, 13 hour 2010 TC250. It has full PG graphics, JD jet kit and a full Akro ti exhaust........the sag is set to my weight (210 lbs). Are these bikes reliable and good for all types of riding.....MX, trails, HS, CC and most importantly, play riding? Always wanted one of the Huskies, they look so cool!!

I have the older engine, specifically a 2006 TE250... but as far as I know a 2010 TC250 is a fine machine, with the possible caveat that the efi might need some attention - if it runs well, then have fun!

Sorry I haven't checked this section lately....Heck yes it's an awesome bike. I have a 2010 TC 250 and love it. I mostly ride MX with it but I've followed the grandkids through the woods and fields and it eats that up too. Mine has about 60 hrs on it I think and it's never missed a beat. Oil changes and filters thas it. If yours doesn't haven't the carb update they can be a little hard to start. Don't kick it fast and hard use a slow steady kick after getting the kicker at the top of the stroke. I love the smooth power and awesome handling of the TC. The bike can do it all IMHO. Enjoy and congrats

Mr. C his is a 2010 and still has the carb.

Well then the efi is really going to need some attention!

Does that bike have the xlite engine?

(I really should keep track of these things a bit better....)

My son and I swap back and forth..he has the '10 TC250 and I have '07 WR 125(GOT TWO MORE '13 Huskys BUT I BOUGHT THEM BECAUSE OF THIS WHOLE ktm thing..'nother story)...anyways the TC is blast on trails and woods, sometimes he has to really beg for me to give it back.He motocrosses it occasionally ,mostly against newer bikes, and he does real well..I usually run differant gearing for MX,tho. Fresh oil, filters regularly and check valve clearances occasionally and she's good to go!

Yes it is :D. First year (2010) for the xlitr engine and I'm pretty sure 2011 is when the TC 250 went to FI.

So... no efi issues, no fuel pump issues (gravity), and a nice light bike - sound like a great purchase to me! :)

Yeah they also quoted me a trade price on my 09 TXC510 and it changed once I made the 2+ hr drive to their dealership so I hear ya Joe. Needless to say my 510 rode back home with me that day.

You are welcome Rob. Now when do we get to read your ride report :D?
Soon John.........can't wait!!
