  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I've got 2 2010 TC250s and so far so good ... No problems so far with these bikes really and one is coming up to 100hrs and I'm curious about how other bikes with this Xlite engine are holding up as the hours add up ...

Any failures or success stories out there?

Good to hear you have that many hrs without any problems. Mine has 41 hrs and no problems to date. It was my son's and he like me rode almost all MX with it. It's still my favorite MX bike I've ever been on :applause:.

I'm really happy with mine ... One bike has 50hrs or so and the other right at 100 ... The 100 hr machine has been getting rid of a small about of engine oil but I see no problem there really ... I just add this small back into it and keep riding ... Its been doing that since day 1 (~50 hrs) of my ownership ...

For me, this bike busts the theory that it takes 2 totally different suspension setting for tracks and trails ... I'm a <whatever> rider with a stock suspension on one machine and all I do is move the clickers depending on track or trail and I have no problems riding any place around here.

I agree it's just such a good bike for any offroad conditions. I ride MX then chase the grandkids through the woods on their 50, 65, and 85 machines; all without overheating or having any other issues. I bought a new 07 Honda 450R and let me just say .... it couldn't do the same. I was thinking I should pick up a new 13 TC250 before they are all gone .

Sounding good so far .... the 012 and 013 have all the EFI stuff lined out and should be good outta the box ...
