  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

2010 450 TC thoughts?

First question is : do you have them in the US ? because I've been searching for a while and I've only found older models, nothing about the '10 , I guess the last red head they made.

The point is a guy is selling one down the road ( I mean 2 hours from home ) . My son has the 125 to go to high school, I have the 510 smr for the same purpose, he has the 250 TE for offroad sessions and I have... nothing there lol . It looks fine from the pictures. The price is really fair, $ 2,200 , but I need owners' or connoissurs' thoughts on the bike ( I saw one test ride on youtube, the guy was fast on track, but is it rideable for an average joe like me ?)

Haven't ridden one, but i used to ride on a public-ish place with my tc250, and this dude would occasionally come down on his 2011 TC450 that her raced, and jesus did that thing haul ass it was quick as, never seen anything accelerate so hard. Whatever you do, don't read MXA reviews that bag all huskys so hard. Probably because they didn't get money their way when reviewing.

good to read, thank you melias. I am back from the bank, I have cash in hand, just called the seller ( he started his own company so does not have time to ride it anymore ) . Will go and get her today

Bike is home, runs great, has been ridden for sure and needed a little care ( mud instead of grease or lockheed if you see what I mean )

Here she is

Thank you .

We had fun the first half of the ride. I did not turn on the camera at first because I did not know where we were supposed to go. I missed some good footage. My son's buddies took us a few miles from home, I had never been there because it is kinda private tracks and woods . So it was my first time on the 450 , and my first time at this place. I am the one riding in the video, first the 450 , then the buddy's 490 RM ( brutal bike). It was damp and steep, though it does not show on camera. The second half was not so fun because both huskies wouldn't restart when hot, and we halted downhill, that was not very smart. The buddy is big and strong, he managed to start them, but I don't like that kind of publicity...

On our way back home, at the end of the video, you will see my son lose the 250 muffler that had been hanging for 5 miles :). That one is on me, the lost spring had been replaced with a wire that did not last long...
