• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE/TC 200XC-W has landed...

I was selling my '12 Husaberg TE250 with the idea of buying a '16 TC125 and doing the 150 big bore kit. I was cleaning up and readying the TE250 to trade it in and a friend decided he would buy it. Just about the same time, I got a text from a friend. He texted that his '16 year old son wanted to sell his '16 200XC-W, with only 8 hours on it..... The stars aligned!

I can try a 200 that already been depreciated and if I don't like it.... not loose my shirt. If I like the engine and hate the PDS chassis, I may swap engines, with my TE150. We'll see....

I pulled off all the plastic and put white on and installed the 6.9 Husaberg shock spring I had and the Husaberg Flexx Bars. Ready to rock!

Friend of mine rides a 200XC-W. It really goes. He's a smaller guy so it's just right for him. He had a 125 before it, but kept having trouble riding our more advanced/gnarly trails. Just not enough torque on the 125, and constantly stalled. But the 200 does great.

starting with a lot of white and little yellow, very very nice- PM with home address again for those "square" mount '16 Husky fork guards. They do have in bedded Husky graphics (FYI)

It's a KTM, not a Husky or a Husaberg.... So I'm not putting Husky graphics on it, but the orange is going to stay in the background. Some nice custom graphics are next. The Husky graphics on your '16 fork guards are probably going to get covered.

The yellow hand and fork guards (yellow Husaberg Shock spring too), are a quirky little personal touch. Blue frame, etc would be cool. When I dismount my studded tires, I should mount up my blue Husaberg wheels!

So how does ktm 200 compare to husky 165 since I believe you had one in the past. The ktm 200 or yamaha 250x will be my next bike if 165 ever get retired or as second back up bike.

Look at the husky stash in garage behind there!

Norm,

Maybe you should pull your husky dealership out and take one big pic?

Teasing! Nice bike!

A bit more power than the 165 and the electric starter is sweet.
