  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

They are sweet, but looks even better with light kit! Thanks!

I see exactly what you mean Norm...a shorter version of the "brochure model" silencer....at least is has the offset outlet which I thought was kinda cool.....no spark arrester hmm

I am glad you liked them. I hope to get some riding in this weekend and I will let you know how it goes.

Yes....Mine arrived last sunday...the trucking outfit was closed so I had to pull a few strings.....ScottyR at rossrochersales was very efficient at providing this machine...as he dodged an increasing dollar and uncertainty as to "if and when" we would even get this model up here in the cold north...and he really came through

The crate was filled with spares....and some parts for my otherbikes...he even supplied the mudflap style tailamp which I requested...so it looks more like the brochure model....too cool !!

I decided to take the bike in the house(basement)...as its been kinda cold lately....its much more convenient to assemble it with a pint of guinness at hand............or two

Oh the memories! You guys must be floored right now...I know I am just looking at the pics.

The number plates look really good Troy.

HuskyDude you def got the sweet setup now... a TE 510 and a WR 125, what more could a man ask for.....okay maybe a super model but Hot Damn those are some sweet machines.

I like the British royal racing green backrounds. Then again I have been using them for the past few years......look a little retro and also a little new modern/not the traditional yellow nor black. The new shape is also looking good when in contrast to the panel shape. Pipes look a little bigger than the stock of past and more like the dynoport (good pipe) and the shorty silencer will add to the power output..just hope it keeps it below Db levels for racing without having to repack every week for the races and passing tech. Looks sexy and you all are killing me .......but I am getting the TE this saturday.

Well to be honest..when Norman mentioned Penton.....I remember the first ones...and green came to mind....had some bulk green vinyl(fac. eff)in the closet..and I got thinking..hmmm There's a whole lot of white on that bike.....lets see

I was hoping the longer spark arrestor would come with the bike.....might have to change that

one thing for sure..the stinger portion of the main pipe...is longer for sure

Someone get theirs on a scale as a lot of us are interested in the ready to ride weight without gas...beautiful bikes!

I have a TXC450 and CR125 and yes, it is cool to pick the right tool for the ride. There is always room for another husky :D
