As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.
When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.
Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.
Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.
Thanks for your patience and support!

he might go overboard a bit with the anal attentivness factor (not all the time, by any means), but we have all seen the rest of the moto chat world, with the in fighting, brand smacking, personal attacks, power tripping, clique clack crap.
Frankly i had just about given up helping out guys over on ADV and TT--i was the vicitim of some serious cyberbullying crap. Even a death threat. I figured, OK, the guys at the cool table just spit on me one time to many. Im done with internet moto chat.
Then Coffee started CH and its been clean and polite and respectfull from day one.
I'll gladly take a little regulation and the rule of law over no regulation and the rule of 'my friends are cool, you aint' i ran into 'over there' all too often.

While we like to ride off-road, this isn't a country known for embracing dual sports - certainly not as they are in Europe. Does anyone know how many were sold world wide last year?
rajobigguy;30869 said:I kinda dissagree with you're take on dual sporting in the US. It is a fast growing market, particularly in Ca. where more and more trails are being reclassified and require street registration. I have no idea how many 610's were sold last year but it is a bike that is finally being recognized for it's ability to handle just about any terain you want to throw at it then jump up on the frwy and ride home. It would be ashame to kill that particular niche when Husky has the arguably the best bike suited for that duty.
