  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

OK, I just made the switch last night from a KTM 200 to a 2008 WR-250. I have a few "new guy" questions that I'm hoping someone can help me with...

1) Will the 2009 red plastic radiator shrouds fit my 2008?
2) Does anyone make an under the fender rear tail light with extension?
3) Looking for any Graphics. Front fender tip graphics?

I'm sure I'll think of many other things. I need to ride the bike for a few weeks before I dig into the suspension and jetting... Feels pretty darn good so far.

1) Yes they will fit, but I would go with the 2010 ones with the embedded graphics if you are changing the set.
2) UFO makes the under fender tail light extension you are looking for.
3) I do not know.
good luck.

KZoo - Great info on the sicass tail light. I bought a seat from them for my old KTM. It looks like you have the same bike... Any little strange tips? My '08 has about 40 hours on the original top end. I'm not sure how long the Husky's go vs what I used to...

No sweat. They're good guys, I've known them for a few years now... If you opt for the sicass tail light then I'd recommend

for a license plate if you're making the bike street legal. You'll have to drill holes to fit the more narrow extension but it all works out.

Yep, just bought it from Halls Cycle (fantastic dealer BTW). Can't speak for top end and all as this is my 1st Husky. The one performance mod I've made thus far is to turn the letters TMX into PWK.

Kzoo, I assume that my WR is prewired and has the stator... The previous owner gave me the factory headlight in a box (never installed) and he also had a bag with some type of were harness. I'll need to check that out this weekend.

I changed the rear fender on my 2007 WR250 with a TE250 guard. I like it. Looks sharper for the bush.

I didn't use the stock harness; I put a street plate on mine so I needed brake lights etc... so I built another harness to the bike. If you just need a tail light then I assume the stock one would work; possibly with a modification or two...
